The ones that mean the most are from ships that I have conducted training on. IMHO, things like patches and coins should earned, given when deserved and never bought or traded for. I run a MSM 'Shit Magnet' patch on my tactical diaper bag ( Maxpedition Versipack). The irony was too much to pass it up. I also jumped in on the Tactical Diaper patch craze, and have a flag and 'easy' button. I say have fun with it. It's a way to express yourself.

If the patches are just clever, witty, fun, or whatever then got for it. Leave the real 'been there done that' patches for those that have, but don't get caught up in who is or who isn't a poser and who is or isn't playing dress up at the range. +1 I remember the days when we used to fly with the 'no fat chicks' patch on our flight helmets, now my CE's fly with FML or other crap but its all in fun.
