I thought the book was very hard to understand, particularly in the beginning of the book. There is a lot of superfluous information that wasn't used. Later on the concepts were presented more clearly, but I ended up watching some video lectures that cleared up some of the concepts. It took a while to get the hang of what was going on in that class for me, but it got better as the year went on and I started getting the hang of things.

Have you checked Chegg solutions? Pretty much my entire school is useless, so I can seriously relate to that feeling. It's $75/year, which is nothing compared to how much you will spend every year on your books, and they've had the solutions for pretty much every book I've ever needed the solutions for.
